If you were not able to join us in March or just want to extend your learning, choose from these activities at home.
This month you can read the parable of the Wise and Foolish Bridesmaids, Matthew 25:1-13 Take a few minutes to talk about: What stood out to you? What does it mean to be "ready" for God in our daily lives? What might the oil in the lamps represent? Are there ways we sometimes put off growing in our faith or filling our "oil" lamp? How might this message apply to your life?

March Saint
St. Josephine Bakhita
Saint Josephine was born in the southern Sudan region of Darfur, part of a loving family with several brothers and sisters. She was kidnapped as a child and sold into slavery and she was given the name Bakhita, which means "fortunate" by her abductors, She was resold several times, many times to owners who treated their slaves cruelly. Eventually she was sold to a family who took her with them back to Italy where she served as nanny to their daughter. Bakhita was exposed to the Catholic faith when her charge was instructed by the Canossian Sisters. When the family tried to take her back to Africa, she fought for and won her freedom. She was baptized, taking the name Josephine, and entered the convent where she worked as cook and doorkeeper. She was known for her ever present smile and gentleness.
